For Baby Frank

I made a painting like this for my friends twins, when they were born. They are ten now. I have made another this week for baby Frank. It is about 40 x 40 cm.

Leather clutch

I finally plucked up the courage to sew the leather. I don't know what my apprehension was about because it sewed up quite easily. I used a few Googled directions that steared me in the right direction. I've added little rings on the sides so I can add a strap.

Just the right size to carry my iPhone and keys.

Art refresher

I have experienced a few new ideas for the art room.  They were delivered efficiently and quickly by Anna Dixon who works for Office Max. We completed all these pieces between 930am and 2.30pm today. This is visual art, with a focus on literacy.

Wasp printing

My fabric printing inks arrived. I have bought a litre of opaque base and 4, 100ml bottles of colour concentrate...black, red, yellow and blue.

I used the little wasp lino cut I made on the fibre art course, then a solid screen printing wasp.

Penny's present.

I have been interested in sewing leather. I have used a small piece of soft (lambs?) leather to make the base of this little clutch.

I used an old grey woollen blanket as the body of the clutch and some beautiful silk as a liner. My intention is for Penny to use it to carry her phone and keys. It will also be able to accomodate a few other bits and bobs.
